"Python occasionally prepares concepts for areas that need regeneration. Working with our award-winning architects Browne Smith Baker, Python starts by asking the question "what will be the very best solution for this area" and then works it back from there to explore the commercial viability.
Two projects remain at concept stage, because the company either did not own the land and was not permitted to buy it (North Riding Infirmary - now lost forever to make way for an Aldi supermarket) or because the company is reliant on another party to assemble the site (Eston Square). |

The "Heart of Eston" project |
In the Summer of 2006 Python was approached by the chair of the local Eston Residents Association to look at proposals for regenerating its town's square.
The concept shown below has been produced to put a living heart back into Eston and envisages "completing the square" with parkland area, traditional high quality buildings, a large supermarket and plenty of free parking.
In our opinion, based on experience, adding a substantive high quality and people friendly development always assist the regeneration of the surroundings areas. |
