Python Arts: An Artistic Vision for Business
Inspired by bringing creativity into the workplace to encourage innovative free-thinking and to provide businesses with a creative space to work, whilst also helping to nurture and celebrate local artists, Python Properties launched Python Arts nine years ago.
As a commercial property specialist with an extensive portfolio in the North of England we adopted the unique concept to merge art space with the workplace to support our business tenants whilst bolstering the arts community.
Since opening our first art gallery and exhibition space, Python Gallery within Royal Middlehaven House in Middlesbrough, we have now adopted the award-winning concept in four of our landmark commercial properties in Middlesbrough, Bolton and Warrington.
Managed by a team of experienced curators, the four non-for-profit galleries – Python Gallery, The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet in Middlesbrough, The Gallery at St George’s House in Bolton and The Gallery at Bank Quay House in Warrington – have become creative hubs for our tenants, business professional and members of the public.
Each gallery has its own creative agenda dedicated to celebrating the work of local artists and the rich heritage and environmental backgrounds of the individual locations. They showcase exhibitions introducing visitors to an array of artistic mediums including painting, printmaking, photography, textiles and sculpting. The four galleries take part annually in Python’s own art festival and also have artists in residence.
The unique art and business concept has had a roaring commercial success attracting tenants, who strategically desire a creative space to not only work but also entertain and meet with clients and customers. All four art galleries benefit from bistros.
Python Properties was named best corporate responsibility partnership In Britain at the national Arts and Business Awards in 2013.
Bespoke office suites, of varying sizes, are available within the four commercial properties for highly competitive and flexible lease terms. Virtual offices, with telephone and mailing services, are also available.
