The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet, housed in the newly refurbished Cargo Fleet Offices on Middlesbrough Road, will be holding a reunion for ex-Cargo Fleet workers to come along and share their stories about their time at the works and office.
The three-story building, originally built for the management staff of Cargo Fleet Iron Company Limited, then became home to British Steel Teesside and Langbaurgh (Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council). Property developers, Python Properties, took on the job of redeveloping the building after it had stood empty, vandalised and derelict for eight years, returning it back to its former glory.
People who worked for or had family working at Cargo Fleet Iron Company, British Steel Teesside and Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council are invited to come along on Saturday 11th August from 12.00pm until 2.00pm.
