‘Infant Hercules’
Venue: Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet offices
When: 09/05/2011 – 25/08/2011
Admission: Free
The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet will be looking at the history of industry in Teesside, once described as an ‘infant hercules’ by W.E. Gladstone on visiting Teesside in 1862.
The first exhibition will be focusing on the Cargo Fleet Iron Company Limited and the offices that they occupied, which is now home to The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet.
Ex Cargo Fleet workers will be sharing their experiences during their time at the works, giving us an insight in to what it was like to work in these industries.
