As part of its 200th Birthday Celebrations, the North East Chamber of Commerce has developed an archive exhibition to celebrate the history of the organisation and the part it has played in North East industrial development over 200 years. The exhibition seeks to champion the ingenuity, enterprise and innovation of the organisation’s members.
The Chamber has amassed a considerable archive from three centuries and detailing some of the landmark achievements for North East Industry but also some of the most tumultuous events in the history of the region. The Exhibition utilises some of the material from the organisations archives rarely on public display.
The exhibition will be on display and open to the public at the Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet from Friday 1st May 2015.
Lindsey Thompson
Alongside the NECC archive exhibition is a series of paintings titled ‘The Other Side’.
Lindsey’s work is greatly inspired by the rich history of industrial Teesside, and in her latest body of work, Lindsey has juxtaposed some of the most iconic features of the local area in a series of paintings depicting nature and industry.
