CREATIVE LIVES & PASTIMES IN BOLTON

BOLTON DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY

Thursday 22 October, 6-8pm

The Gallery At St. George’s House is pleased to present Art’s Desire:
Creative Lives & Pastimes In Bolton, a new exhibition from Bolton Documentary Photography.

Bolton Documentary Photography, a voluntary community arts group, create photography exhibitions documenting different aspects of life in Bolton.  This latest exhibition focuses on arts and culture in our town – the creative lives and pastimes of individuals and organisations, both professional and amateur – across a wide range of artforms, including music, dance, theatre, the visual arts, and many more.

Appalachian dancing, African drumming, music festivals, church bell-ringing, comic superhero conventions, theatre performances, quilting and embroidery groups, painting workshops, even decorative cake-making with the Clandestine Cake Club.

This free exhibition aims to highlight the rich range of creative activities in Bolton and the many crafts and skills, artistic practices and passions that this encompasses.

We hope you can join us as we open this inspiring exhibition on Thursday 22 October, 6-8pm.

We are very grateful to BOLTON ARTS FORUM for funding this project.
