The exhibition features paintings and prints by Derek which beautifully illustrate his passion for using Landscape as a subject that transforms and transcends the world around us into abstract enquiries that offer the viewer an insight into the power of place.
This is Derek’s first solo exhibition in Middlesbrough for a number of years and promises to be a stimulating, vibrant and enjoyable experience for all who visit.
There will also be an Artists Talk by Derek as part of the exhibition programme on Thursday 23rd August 2-3:30pm, which is free to attend, so please come along and gain an insight into the working methods and visual concerns of this established artist.
As always, the private view on Friday 10th will be a relaxed and enjoyable event with refreshments being served from 5:30pm, so please come along and join us for a great summer evening.
