Highs & Lows: A West Highland Fling (Winter 2016 – Winter 2017)
Private View Thursday 27 April, 5-7pm
The Gallery at St. George’s House is pleased to present a new solo exhibition by Jen Orpin.
Highs & Lows: A West Highland Fling (Winter 2016 – Winter 2017) represents an ongoing emotional investigation for the Manchester artist. It was in the ancient grandeur of the Scottish mountains that Orpin first found perspective after the death of her father. The lochs offered stillness and the waterfalls a reassuring predictability. The paintings presented in this show reflect and respond to a longing for a sense of permanence.
We hope you can join us as we open this new exhibition in Bolton on Thursday 27 April, 5-7pm. All welcome.
