When: 01/11/2014 – 26/01/2015

A new exhibition has arrived at Bolton’s The Gallery At St. George’s House.  Open until 26 Jan 2015, this figurative exhibition will be the first from the LifeDrawingBL6 art group, who are based in Horwich.

The exhibition features drawing and paintings produced by participants in the life drawing classes which take fortnightly at Portrait Fourtwographs Fine Art Studios.  The eleven artists who are showcasing their work are: David Cowley, Patrick Duignan, Julia Entwistle, Liz Gribben, Jonathan David Hughes, Ken Holt, John Pindar, David Pott, George Pott, Mary Rudkin and Sara Ryder.

Life drawing has traditionally been the cornerstone of any art training.  For beginners to accomplished artists, the drop in sessions provide an opportunity to learn or practice the essential skills of observation drawing.  The human figure offers every challenge – line, shape, tone, colour, perspective and composition.

Artist Julia Entwistle said:

“The exhibition showcases what an amazingly diverse group of creative people are involved in life drawing in Bolton.  It’s a fantastic mix of people who inspire each other and always welcome new artists.’

Open Mon-Fri, 9-5pm.
