Liminal by John Wheeler
When: 24/10/2014 – 28/11/2014
I would like to cordially invite you to the next exhibition preview at pythongallery this coming Friday 24th October from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm.
The new show entitled ‘Liminal’ is a stunning exhibition of the work of Artist John Wheeler. Showcasing his intriguing explorations of simplicity of form and content through the use of the Japanese ‘moku hanga’ (wood print) method of printing.
The exhibition features many examples of John’s recent work which express a delicate understanding and exploration of Zen infused minimalist composition. Quiet, calm and visually un-fussy, the work is meditative and with a transcendent emotive depth that has to be experienced rather than viewed.
We are very pleased that this exhibition is part of the Discover Middlesbrough series of events that are taking place this month. (please see link below for brochure)
During John’s Private View their will be transport available at 6:30 to take visitors over to our sister gallery The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet, to view the exhibition opening there, and then to return to Middlesbrough centre at 7:30 for the ‘Don’t Be Afraid of The Dark’ events that are taking place at various locations during the night.
The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet launches the “TEES HERITAGE” exhibition at the Private View on Friday 24 October 2014, 5.30 – 8.00pm, coinciding with the Discover Middlesbrough Late Night events.
The whole evening promises to be an eventful and rewarding experience providing a chance for visitors to take in a diverse range of cultural activities across the town so we all hope that you can join us to celebrate John Wheeler’s new show and to support the great creative experiences that Middlesbrough has to offer.
Kind regards, Peter Heselton.
Ps, please feel free to pass on this invitation to your contacts.
