Posted on: June 18th, 2021 by admin

Exhibition Dates: 14/06/2021 – 9/07/2021
Meet the artists: Saturday 3rd July 2021, 10am until 12pm.

The Saturday opening offers a great opportunity to meet the artists over drinks and nibbles provided by Iron Co Coffee House and ask any questions about the work displayed.

Random Stitchers of Cleveland exists to promote and practise the use of stitch and textiles to produce art using a wide range of materials and techniques from simple to sophisticated.

The diverse nature of embroidery and stitch has changed greatly over the years and is very creative and exciting. This exhibition shows some of the wide range of techniques, skills, fun, enjoyment and satisfaction members gained producing their textile pieces.

The Random Stitchers hold meetings on the first Saturday of the month, usually with a visiting speaker, at Sunnyfield House in Guisborough at 2.00pm, where visitors are welcome for a small fee. They also hold a Monday morning workshop at the same venue on the 2nd Monday of the month, although covid restrictions have prevented these from going ahead of late.

Everyone is welcome to join the group and they try to cater for all abilities and tastes. All you need is an interest. They are a friendly approachable group and would be delighted to help you.
