“Art from the Barn” exhibition opening

Posted on: August 25th, 2021 by Jodie Athey

We would like to invite you to attend the next exhibition opening at The Heritage Gallery:

                    ‘Art from the Barn’
                    by Lakeside Artists and aim4art
Private View: Thursday 16th September 2021
                    Between 5pm and 7pm

The exhibition runs from 06/09/2021 – 08/10/2021

The private view is a great opportunity to meet the artists over drinks and nibbles provided by the onsite bistro – Iron Co Coffee House.

Two groups of artists have come together to put on this eclectic exhibition, which promises to be an intriguing display that reflects the diverse work of all the artists involved.

Having the space in the Barn at Hemlington Lake is invaluable to the 2 groups. It has allowed them to meet up and share their work with like minded people and gives them great support and encouragement. And they thank the charity – Tees Valley Community Asset Preservation Trust for preserving the old barn.

The group says:

“Being creative lifts our spirits and we enjoy being part of the rich cultural heritage within the Tees Valley. This exhibition gives us inspiration and a goal to showcase our work as a collective.”

We hope you can make it to the private view and look forward to seeing you there.

“The Journey” by Julia Cutter

Posted on: August 25th, 2021 by Jodie Athey

Julia’s exhibition opened with a private view on Thursday 5th August 2021

Julia says:

“How important have creative outlets been this past year, for everyone? A personal one for me. A need to pass the lockdown and release any built up tensions, a focus for those uncertain times.

I get a lot of pleasure from experimenting with colours and mediums. I have made marks, drawn and painted whatever I saw that captured my interest, albeit a moment, a memory or a scene that made me smile. But all reflecting on things happening around me.

I’m still driven by colour, nature’s environment and this year especially, inspired by local areas.”
