Normanby Local History Group Exhibition

The Normanby Local History Group is a non-profit making collection of people who are interested in keeping the rich history of this small area in the North East of England alive for future generations to enjoy.

The Normanby Local History Group received £10,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for a project entitled: "Gallantry in the Face of the Enemy, William Henry Short VC."

Local Hero Private William Short of the 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment (Green Howards) received the Victoria Cross for most conspicuous bravery on the 6th August 1916.

The story of William Henry Short can be explored in the current exhibition created by the local histroy group, now on display in the reception area of the Cargo Fleet Offices.

When Python acquired the property we met with the two Partners which is unusual but very refreshing and they talked to us about what they can do for us. They have refurbished the common parts of the building to a good professional standard, we have a lease that suits us as it is competitive, flexible and the level of Service Charge is good. They even arranged our permit parking
