Python Development Helps Keep Business in Boro

April 2010: North East-based property developer Python Properties has welcomed leading solicitors Williamson Hill to its award-winning city centre property on Linthorpe Road.

Williamson Hill Solicitors, which had considered moving out of the town, has now taken a 3,500 sq. ft. suite in The Cooperative Building and is the first tenant to move into the property’s newly-renovated second floor.

The Cooperative Building has seen substantial interest since being named Best Commercial Property at Middlesbrough Council’s Urban Design Awards 2009 and then winning the Evening Gazette’s readers’ choice award.

Len Wilkinson, Partner at Williamson Hill, said: “We were absolutely thrilled to secure a letting in The Cooperative Building. It offers an extremely professional and friendly atmosphere, perfect for welcoming our clients as they visit the office.

“After an unsuccessful property search we had contemplated moving from our Albert Road base and out of the city centre until we visited The Cooperative Building. It was exactly what we were looking for.”

“Python have also been of immense assistance to us in resolving end of lease and dilapidation issues, effectively helping to smooth the transition to the new premises”

As a specialist and independent firm of solicitors, Williamson Hill offers a range of legal advisory services to private individuals and businesses across a number of sectors.

Martin Johnson of Python Properties added: “We are delighted to welcome such a professional company to the building. It’s extremely rewarding to know that we have been able to assist a Middlesbrough company in maintaining its presence in the centre of town. We’re looking forward to working with Williamson Hill over the coming years and beyond.”

The Cooperative Building was transformed in 2008/09 by Python Properties from a disused department store to a contemporary office and retail building. Following the extensive refurbishment the property now boasts new granite facing to the ground floor, large new picture windows to the upper floors, a prestigious manned reception, spacious and light office accommodation and secure underground parking.

Williamson Hill has joined Tesco, Tees: Time to Talk and Vision for Education and A4E as existing tenants of the award-winning Cooperative Building.

Python Properties offers smart, stylish and professional commercial properties with a first-class service from a full-time centrally located office in Middlesbrough.
