The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet – based in our Cargo Fleet Offices, will be launching their first ever ‘Teesside Fringe’ exhibition.

Thursday 11th September 

Between 5pm and 7pm

A spin-off from the Middlesbrough Art Week – over 60 artists’ work will be on display in this truly diverse and eclectic exhibition. It will run from 8th September until 10th October 2025, covering the Middlesbrough Art Week, which runs from 25th September until 4th October.

The next exhibition at The Heritage Gallery will be an Open Call Exhibition, where we invite individual artists to submit a piece of work to be displayed in our ‘Teesside Fringe’ exhibition that will also run during Middlesbrough Arts Week – 25 September until 4 October.

Artists – Philip Meadows and Lesley Brewer-Wright reside in our pop up gallery space on the
second floor of West Riding House, Bradford, BD1 4HR. Displaying works of very different styles, these very talented artists bring their work from the North East to Bradford for a 6 month residency.

Their work will be on display throughout from August 2025 until January 2026.

EDAN – East Durham Artists’ Network launched their exhibition on Thursday 12th June 2025 at The Heritage Gallery to celebrate their 20th Year Anniversary.

In 2005, a group of artists from the East Durham area realised that there were no organisations or groups in East Durham that would encourage and support their continuing artistic development, and no designated local sites for exhibiting their work. They created East Durham Artists’ Network (EDAN) to fill the gap.

In 2025 they celebrate the success of that initiative.

EDAN is now a fully constituted not-for-profit company with a membership of over fifty professional and amateur artists and supporters who work in a wide range of media. It is committed to furthering the skills and interests of its members through a process of mutual support, investigative learning, and engagement with other groups and activities that encourage practice relevant to the concerns of local audiences.

Peter Hesleton – curator of the pythongallery in Middlesbrough, has taken up
residence for 6 months at our Pop Up Gallery at West Riding House.
Peter’s diverse work can be viewed on the Second Floor of our commercial office building in Bradford.
